Auto Bild V-Kool Indonesia Award 2016 Tahun 2016 ini ada 32 penghargaan Car Category dan 8 penghargaan Special Category. Adanya perubahan jumlah award dan nama kelas jika dibandingkan dengan tahun lalu. Kelas yang baru di buka tahun ini adalah, Performance Car, Estate, dan High Luxury MPV.

Selain penambahan kelas, perubahan kontestan pada sebuah kelas juga terjadi. Seperti pada kelas Low MPV, Compact MPV, dan Big Luxury MPV. Kelas Low MPV sebelumnya dihuni oleh mobil-mobil yang dikembangkan untuk angkut barang seperti Daihatsu Luxio dan Nissan Evalia.
